Jim Stowe lives in Toronto with his wife, Jessica, and their two children, Clara and Jim. A cockatiel named Rex keeps him company whenever he is home.
He grew up in Portage, Michigan, the oldest of ten children, and was homeschooled. He came east to Toronto for an undergraduate degree in theology at Toronto Baptist Seminary, and he also holds a certificate in electronics technology. Mostly, though, he is a reader and autodidact.
He is one of the pastors at Royal York Baptist Church, where he has been a member since 2019 and a pastor since 2022, and where Jessica serves as the church clerk. He is bivocational, working as a painter alongside the ministry.
